About Us

Fred MehlDisplay and Rack Systems was started in 2000 by Fred Mehl. Fred has had over 20 years experience in the industry and through his expertise the business has grown into a well know industry specialist, supplying the retail, shopfitting and warehouse industries.

The business originally started in a small premises in Seville Street, Fairfield East. In 2003 the business had outgrown this location and relocated to 203 Woodville road, Villawood. Then in 2005 the business relocated again to 6/189 Woodville Road, Villawood, which is the current location. In November 2007 we opened our second showroom in Tempe, close to the Sydney CBD.

Display and Rack Systems services the retail industry with shopfittings. We supply direct to shopfitters and supply gondolas to supermarket and convenience type stores. We also offer a warehouse re-location service, including re-locating shelving and racking with the product still on them. We can design, supply and install racking and shelving for any size business.

Display and rack carry a large range of shopfittings, in stock, and can source most products quickly.


The people:

Fred Mehl
Fred Has over 20 years experience in the shelving and shopfitting industry. He has worked throughout Australaisa, project managing some large jobs. he can provide specialist advice for warehouse design and layout, and has many years experience managing large projects for major clients.

Phil Tomkins
Phil Joined the business as a 50% owner with Fred. His experience comes from the automotive industry. He was previously National Sales Manager and State Manager prior to that.

He has many years sales and marketing experience, and has previously owned a small business. Although new to the industry, he places customer service as the most important element to sales success.

Merv Windle
Merv has over 40 years experience in this industry. His whole working career has involved office, library and shop interiors, planning, quoting, on-site visits providing advice to clients to best utilise their space.

Merv came from a library equipment supplies business, although was interested in office furniture and shopfittings, and eventually progressed into this industry.

He has gained many years experience in Work station layout, quoting & ordering, project management and storage systems. He works closely with architects, designers and senior management.

Terms and Conditions

All payments by cheque are subject to electronic banking clearance, and the title of the goods remain the property of Display and Rack Systems Pty Ltd until all funds are cleared.

Retention of title will mean, that access to goods not paid for on your premises may be restricted.

All used equipment is supplied in an "AS IS" condition.

Goods returned or exchanged are accepted at the descretion of management and will be subject to a 15% handling fee.

Goods reserved on deposit are non refundable and will only be held for 14 working days.
